Supporters of the ruling Labour Party in the UK say their chances of winning at the next general election have dramatically increased, after Prime Minster Gordon Brown delivered one of his most fiery speeches to date at a major annual conference this week. The Sun Newspaper Reported:
A 13-year-old boy from Britain, no taller than four feet, has fathered a baby girl, The Sun reports.
New dad Alfie Patten and girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15, had sex just once, says Alfies father, Dennis, but thats all it takes.
While dad admitted the boy doesnt understand the enormity of his situation, he says his son seems desperate to be a responsible and devoted father. “He could have shrugged his shoulders and sat at home on his PlayStation. But he has been at the hospital every day.”
Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.
He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.
The shy lad, whose voice has not yet broken, said: I thought it would be good to have a baby.
I didnt think about how we would afford it. I dont really get pocket money. My dad sometimes gives me £10.
