I am trying to install Sun StorEdge 3300 disk array on my Sunfire 420 server running Solaris 9. I have connected Disk array to servers with SCSI cables, but when i use format command i dont see this disk array. I am also not able to connect to disk array using "null modem serial cable".Can somebody help me in this?

After you plugged the disk array into the 420, did you reboot by dropping down to the "ok" prompt and doing a "boot -r". Or the equivalent is to do a :

touch /reconfigure
reboot

as root from within the OS. You have to do a reconfig in order for Solaris to pick up new devices.
