he’s laughing at the fact that they give the hours of opening when they are a 24 hr store but… they close at 4 on sundays so its not really that funny!

The Sunday trading …
The Sunday trading act in 1994, restricts the opening times of larger stores, specifically, those over 280 m2 (3,014 sq ft,) to a maximum of six trading hours, between 10am and 6pm only on a Sunday.
this is common knowledge in the uk, thus supermarkets advertise themselves as 24 hour, 7 days. and we know this excludes sundays, so its not uncommon to still see a list of opening hours.
