This is absolutely … This is absolutely amazing. I want to learn this so bad… I used to do hula hooping competitions when I was a little girl. I won tickets to a dinner theater several times. I held up 8 hoops when i was 10 years old till everyone else dropped theirs. I know I could do this with practice. Where in boulder is this place?
Eh, more towards … Eh, more towards the middle you were using it more, but I’d like to see futher emphasis. I think it would look so keen, especially when its obvious you’re good.
When you don’t use … When you don’t use the music, it also gives a homogeneous look to the dance – which can bore your audience, no matter how impressed at first they were with a trick here & a trick there. Flow is important, especially in hoop dance, but learning when to HIT and break flow is important too, & the right music helps that. I watch vids of some dancers, and its obvious they’re good – but I change to another vid because the flow lulls me to boredom. Someday I hope to be good enough to accomplish this.
I would’ve liked to … I would’ve liked to see more musicality with this. You’re a beautiful dancer, but there was so much with the music in breaks and emphasis that wasn’t played with – its common in any dance to ignore the music in favor of getting in as many tricks and impressive moves as possible. Which is fine for a layman audience, but other dancers, even from other genres, will recognize what’s happening.
I agree-this is the … I agree-this is the best performance i’ve seen that’s not Elena Lev in Cirque Du Soleil! I want to get to this level! So feminine and elegant-it looks brilliant.
