We can actually calculate how much energy the sun has left before it burns out, and we have about 5 billion years. However say that it just disappeared magically. It takes 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach us. Therefore we would not notice anything for 8 minutes after the sun disappeared. Nothing travels faster then light so we would all be fine and enjoying life until 8 minutes after the disappearance.
References :
About a million years, the time it takes for the photons that are produced by fusion in the core to travel to the surface of the Sun.
References :
We'd know it well in advance, but I believe you are referring to the 8 minute lag for the light/gravity change to reach us. NO information can travel faster than light.
References :
I've had part one and two on my ipod for a while, but this is the first time i've witnessed the greatness that is the final chapter in this epic. There are no words to describe how surprised and amazed I was when the vocals came in!
By far the coolest sounding clean vocals ever. powerful Agalloch in all of their majestic glory is!!
I just went out and picked up Pale Folklore earlier today, next i got to listen to all three parts of this beast consecutively!
