On the 1st day God created light, but didn’t create the sun until the 4th day.?

Posted by admin on July 23rd, 2010 and filed under the sun | 9 Comments »

What was the light on the 1st day?

This has nothing to do with the creation of the universe, as everyone supposes.
The Light is the same one in John 1. He was the Light of the world. The apostles were also LIGHTS in the FIRMAMENT.

I am one of those lights. So is all true Christians. Chapter one is the life, death and resurrection, of Jesus Christ, then his Apostles in Acts, and the true Church at work.

Read Isa 53, for explaination of the earth (his body) being without FORM and VOID.

Jesus, the Word he taught, is this LIGHT, on both days.
Grace is this LIGHT.
Law/Satan is that darkness and the NIGHT.

So the mockers only prove their own lack of knowledge and truth.
God’s word is about Jesus Christ.
It is the height of ignorance to suppose that God made a ‘mess’ and did not do a good job and had to re-do things. Only a child of total ignorance could hold to such foolishness! Be admonished!

what is the best place to watch the sunset in the St Louis area?

Posted by admin on July 20th, 2010 and filed under the sun | 3 Comments »

Other than the Arch what is a good place to spend watching the show as the sun sets?

Since the sun sets in the west the best place to watch it would be on the East side looking across the river toward the Arch. Any place that is on high ground where a lot of buildings dont interfer with your view would work just fine such as Forest Park, Laumeier Sculpture Park, Creve Coeur Park lake etc.

Do you need sun to activate a solar heater?

Posted by admin on July 14th, 2010 and filed under the sun | 6 Comments »

My pool is above ground and do NOT get ANY sun because my neighbors trees are blocking the sun so it’s freezing. Do you need the sun to activate a solar heater? Thanks <3

Unfortunately, the sun is needed. You can read more about how Solar energy works at: http://thesungate.com/sungate_products/howsolarworks.cfm

This is from their page:
"the sun, provides DC (direct current). The light from the sun (93 million miles away) splashes down on the solar electric panels and creates energy. This energy goes into an inverter, attached to your solar panels, which "inverts" (changes) the DC electricity into, AC electricity (alternating current). This is the electricity we use in our homes everyday. For example: 110v AC."

I hope this helps explain everything for you. How high are your neighbors trees though? I had the same problem with my pool, but we had solar panels on our roof that powered the heater for our pool.

How long should I tan under the sun for without getting burned and without wearing sun screen?

Posted by admin on July 11th, 2010 and filed under the sun | 5 Comments »

Everyday, I try to tan for 20 minutes. I lay directly under the sun, first on my back, then on my stomach. I do 10 minutes on each side and I don’t wear sun block. Without wearing sun block, is 10 minutes on each side a good amount of time to get a good tan or should I do more?

It takes 10-15 minutes in direct sunlight and no sunscreen to get sunburn.

Put on sunscreen with SPF 8 or 15 to not get burned and tan at the same time.

20 minutes is good.
